Packing (I'm awful at it)
>> Saturday, June 15, 2013
Anyone who’s ever moved knows how difficult it can be.
Should I pack all of my martini glasses or just two?
Do I really need to bring every pair of shoes I own?
Can I fit all of my adorable stuffed animals in my tiny car?
Okay, so maybe that last one only relates to me. Don’t judge.
I love stuffed animals.
Anyhow! Packing is
hard.
I’ve been doing a lot of organizing/sorting/preparing to
pack over the past couple of days in preparation for my move. I’ve moved several times in the last four or
five years so you’d think I’d be a pro by now.
Not so.
I have a lot of random stuff, but this time around I’m
trying to be more concise in what I bring.
I don't need all of my books
and movies. I don't need every piece of artwork I’ve collected/made
over the years. Thankfully I can leave a
lot of stuff at my parents house and then, if I realize I need it, they can
ship it to me.
But basically, I’m trying to be less high maintenance and
really only bring the things that I need.
And things that I need include:
· *My Keurig coffee maker
· *My entire closet (a girl’s gotta look good in
Hollywood!)
· *Most of my drink ware collection (champagne
glasses/beer glasses/wineglasses/etc.—if I’m going to host fabulous parties I
have to have all the appropriate stuff
· *All of my hair products (despite having over 50
bottles of random crap, my hair still never
looks the way I want it to)
Okay, you get the idea. I’m not the most low maintenance person in the world. Hell, I’m the girl who showed up to college with a massive U-Haul trailer, ready to move into my tiny dorm room.
BUT (lots of buts in this post haha) this time around I hope
to fit everything comfortably in my car and I hope to try and live a little
less extravagantly. This being said,
it’s not like I’m packing Louis Vuitton shoes or Versace dresses. Ha. I
buy my shoes at Justin’s boot outlet and my clothes at Buffalo Exchange
y’all. Don’t get it twisted.
My cowboy boot collection (always a Texas girl at heart)
Coffee obsessed (seriously, I have an addiction)
So if you have any packing tips, hook a girl up!
XOXO!
