Just a short update today on the happenings here in Hollywood!
Linus and I went for a long hike today in Runyon Canyon (up the really tough/steep path)and took Louie with us. We've hiked with him three days in a row and he continually surprises us with how well he does. We haven't had to carry him and we even let him off his leash today and he hiked with us like a little doggie superstar.
Then we went and saw "This is the End," which was ridiculous and hilarious and ate lunch at Tender Greens (deeeelicious). A coffee stop came next, and then we went to a sports bar and watched the UFC fights tonight. I first started watching fights about half a year ago and I am obsessed! And the matches tonight were AWESOME (particularly the last one...look it up on Youtube...it's insane).
Speaking of bars, in the wake of our decision to run an upcoming marathon, Linus and I have decided to stop drinking beer until DECEMBER! CRAZY right?! And I'm actually toying with the idea of not drinking at all for the next six months. Which is actually kind of terrifying since I've been drinking since my freshman year of college. Let me take this moment to reassure everyone that I don't drink all that much. But I've been thinking about it and I realized that it's become almost habitual for me to drink some sort of booze in any social situation. Over the years I've gotten used to using alcohol as a way to loose my inhibitions and feel more comfortable. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But I'm plenty social and outgoing and lovely to be around (haha) when I'm not drinking. I don't want to rely on a vodka cranberry to be myself! Plus, I'm really intrigued to see what not drinking will do for my running and for my fitness. I'm such a health oriented person that I think it would do be good to try and cut back on the bottle and the beer and the so on and so on. I haven't decided for sure if I'm going to go all out with this and not drink.at.all. or just eliminate beer and only drink other beverages on special occasions (my birthday, vacations, football games--not ever single one!, etc...) But either way I think it's a good decision and I'm excited to give it a try. So I'm counting on social media to hold me accountable!
Happy Saturday/Sunday everyone! Have a beer for me!
XOXO!
